IMS Stammtisch
by Toqa Hilal and Irina Vasilescu

All work and no fun? That´s not the way to go through life!

Being part of IMS is an interesting experience, but it can also be fatiguesome. That is why every time we find the time and a nice sunny day, we come together and celebrate…or just come together and grill something delicious, something as diverse as we are!

Of course bringing together 30 people with very different schedules, hobbys and little free time is not an easy thing to do;
so when we DO make it, we try to have as much fun as possible. Its also a great opportunity to get to know each other better…
After all, you are not you, when you are hungry! Right Tilman?

Where do we do this? Anywhere available! For instance, here we were on the right side of the Rhein in Beuel,
talking, eating, enjoying a drink and most of all the company!

Sometimes birthdays stimulate such a gathering, especially when the weather is inviting for laughs and walks.
This time, Toqa was the birthday girl or shall we say the princess of IMS?

Amazing it is indeed when people from different countries with diverse backgrounds come along with each other
and put a smile on each other’s faces! Here is the unbreakable team of Endenich: Jacques and Chheng.

Getting to know new languages and exchange ideas and thoughts outdoors is also one of the advantages of the IMS Stammtisch.
Just for the sake of an example, here is Eleonore articulating: “Tu (ne) comprends pas, Abu!”

One of the most touching and rewarding scenes after serving food is satisfaction in the eyes,
cameras around the neck and Volleyball in the hands.

And though we never feel tired or bored, daylight says goodbye always too soon and moonlight blankets over the Rheine.
The night falls over Bonn, yet not over IMS students.
